Recipes by ingredients: getting started
Choose your language
Choose EN, RU, ES, FR or DE at the top of the site. The interface and recipes use that language when translations are available.
Open your account
Select the account icon at the top or Your account in the footer. Use an available sign-in method. An inactive method is not configured yet. Use the same account to access your saved data.
Start with ingredients
On the home page, go to the ingredient workspace. Enter products manually or upload a photo. Always review the list before searching.
Enter and confirm your ingredients
Add a product
Choose the Manual tab. Type a product name, choose the intended suggestion and add it to the list. Repeat for other ingredients and remove anything you do not have.
Review recognised names
If the manual confirmation panel appears, select Confirm products, choose the right match for each item, then Add confirmed products. If no match is found, remove the item and enter a more specific name.
Refine general products
For meat, fish, cheese, pasta and sausages, complete the offered details such as type, cut, form or state. Work through the available lists, then confirm the details. For example, choose a specific pasta shape instead of just pasta.
Choose a desired dish
Name the dish
The optional Desired dish field accepts requests such as dumplings, roast or pie. Select Check dish. If the name is ambiguous or misspelled, choose a close match or specify the filling, main ingredient or cooking style.
Review the suggested ingredients
The service checks the dish against confirmed ingredients and filters. Use the suggested ingredients or keep your ingredients and add what is needed. A selected main meat, fish or seafood product must not be replaced with another.
Check again after changes
Check the dish again after changing ingredients or filters. If it conflicts with an allergen exclusion, diet, equipment or another setting, change the dish or the conflicting filter before searching.
Use a photograph
Choose a photo
Open the Photo tab and upload an image. On a phone you can use the camera button. Photograph ingredients and readable labels in good lighting.
Review the list
Wait for recognition. Correct wrong names, remove unwanted items and add anything missed. Photo recognition can be inaccurate; review the list before searching.
Confirm your ingredients
Confirm the recognised list. If the site asks for a specific product type, complete those details separately. The photo is sent temporarily for recognition, deleted after the attempt and not retained; only recognised and confirmed product information may remain in the database. If uploading fails, choose another photo or enter products manually.
Filters for easy dinner recipes
Choose how to cook
Choose the time, difficulty, cookware and heat source. Set your diet and excluded allergens. The product-use setting controls which ingredients must be used. “Keep all selected ingredients and add more” preserves every selected product. Meat, fish or seafood remains the centrepiece; additions complete the sauce, side dish or other suitable components.
Chef filters
Chef includes filters for cuisine, dish type and mealtime. Other plans show a link to the features table. Check your current plan in Plans.
Start your search
Select the recipe search button once every ingredient is confirmed. If it is disabled, check unfinished refinements and your ingredient list. Reset restores the default filter settings.
Compare your dinner ideas
Wait for the result
The recipe finder checks matching database recipes first, then creates and verifies new recipes when needed. Temporary AI start failures are retried automatically. If the search still ends early, the final notice lists database matches, checked creations, filtered results and duplicates; retry or send that notice to support.
Compare the groups
Results are grouped by your ingredients: everything available, one missing or several missing. Simplified recipes may also be available. Check missing ingredients, time and difficulty on each card.
Open a recipe
Select a card for its details. If your plan locks a card, open Plans to check its features. For a wider selection, return to the filters and relax the restrictions.
Read and cook
Set the servings
In a recipe, choose between 1 and 10 servings. Ingredient amounts are recalculated. Switch between metric and US units using the buttons below the ingredients heading.
Check the details
Read the ingredients, equipment, calories and instructions. Source links appear in the details when supplied. The image illustrates the dish; the text remains usable if the image is unavailable.
Start cooking
Select Start cooking. Read the current instruction and use Previous and Next. Long instructions scroll. Select Finish on the last step; the close button exits cooking mode.
My recipes
Save a recipe
Use the heart button in a recipe to save it. My recipes depends on your plan. If the plans table opens, check whether your plan includes this feature.
Open your collection
Select My recipes at the top of the site and open a saved card. Use the same account you used when saving it.
Remove a saved recipe
Select the active save button again to remove the recipe from your collection. This does not delete it from the shared recipe database.
Plans and support
Check your plan
Open Plans at the top or in the footer. Free lasts 7 days without a card: up to 6 recipes per search, the first 3 open, 5 searches and 15 AI photos a month. Basic provides 6 recipes, 30 searches and 100 AI photos; Premium 10, 100 and 300; Chef 20, 300 and 600. Current monthly and annual prices appear in the table.
Payment and cancellation
Paid plans use Lemon Squeezy. Checkout should show the total price, taxes, billing period, automatic renewal and cancellation method. Cancelling stops the next renewal while access continues through the current paid period. Open the Refund Policy from the footer for refund terms.
Get support
The Support assistant explains the current service rules and documents. To send a suggestion or complaint, complete the separate form and keep its reference. Include the search, plan name and exact error text; never send passwords or payment-card details.
AI Sommelier and recipe PDFs
Open a saved recipe
In My recipes, open the dish you want to prepare. AI Sommelier and PDF export are Chef features. The pairing button appears for an opened saved recipe; browsing a recipe does not start the pairing automatically.
Compare drink pairings
Select AI Sommelier. Compare at least three options: each gives the drink type, a pairing explanation and serving guidance. The result is labelled AI Sommelier and saved with the recipe. Use the selected interface language for the result.
Keep a recipe PDF
Choose the recipe PDF or the recipe plus Sommelier PDF. The second option needs a saved pairing result. Set the servings and units in the recipe before exporting. If the required translation is unavailable, wait for it rather than accepting mixed-language output.
Common questions
Why is the search button disabled?
Check that the ingredient list is not empty and all manual entries and refinements are confirmed. Wait for the product catalogue to load and any current search to finish.
Why must I refine a product again?
A general name can mean different products. Complete all open selection lists and confirm the intended variant. Changing a choice may require confirmation again.
Why are there fewer recipes than expected?
Strict filters or incomplete verification can reduce the number of ready recipes. Read the final notice and try broader filters. A plan's limit does not guarantee that many suitable dishes.
What if an image is unavailable?
Close and reopen the recipe or refresh the page. If the error continues, send the recipe name and error text through Write to us. Refreshing the home page may reset your current input.
Why did my plan limit stop the search?
Check your current plan and the reported usage. If the numbers look wrong, send them to support with your plan name.
Where are my saved recipes?
Check that you are using the same account and that its plan includes the collection. If it is still empty, contact support.
How do I know my message was sent?
A reference appears after saving. If sending fails, your text stays in the form so you can retry. A reference confirms storage on the site, not delivery of an email.
How do I find recipes with ingredients I have?
Enter the ingredients or upload a photo, then confirm every product and any refinements. The recipe finder shows matching stored recipes and creates new recipes with AI when needed. Compare the missing-ingredient groups before choosing a dish.
How can I find easy dinner ideas for my family?
Choose easy difficulty and the time you have, then search with your ingredients. Chef can narrow the mealtime to dinner. In an opened recipe, select 1–10 servings to recalculate quantities. For quick dinner recipes, check the full elapsed time, including resting or chilling.
Can I look for vegetarian or healthy dinner recipes?
Choose the available dietary filters and excluded allergens, then review each recipe’s ingredients and estimated calories. For vegetarian dinner recipes, check the actual ingredient list. A filter or calorie estimate is not a personal assessment of whether a dish is healthy for you.
How do I find air fryer recipes?
Select the air fryer as the heat source, confirm your ingredients and run the search. Read the recipe’s equipment, temperature and timing instructions; an oven recipe is not automatically an air fryer recipe.
How do food and wine pairing and PDF export work?
With Chef, open a dish in My recipes and select AI Sommelier. At least three drink suggestions are saved with that recipe. Export either the recipe alone or the recipe with the saved pairings.
Can I search for a specific dish instead of only recipes by ingredients?
Yes. Enter it in Desired dish, confirm the closest match and check it against your confirmed ingredients and filters. Run the check again after changing those conditions.
Does Kitchen Fridge store my ingredient photo?
No. The photo is processed temporarily for recognition and deleted after the attempt. Recognised and confirmed product names may be stored, but the photo itself is not retained.
Is there a Kitchen Fridge Android or iPhone app?
Kitchen Fridge currently works as a website/PWA. Native Android and iOS apps are marked Coming soon and have not been released yet.
